It's time again to save your foam #6 and pliable plastics for a collection day at church! The Environmental Stewardship Work Area (ESWA) is hosting a Foam #6 and Pliable Plastics Recycling Day on Sunday, November 8, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Parlor.

Save and clean #6 foam cups, plates, take-out containers, and egg cartons, and put them in a clear plastic bag if possible. Be sure to rinse out all items. NOTE: Do not include straws or lids, foam insulation, or packaging peanuts, as these cannot be recycled at the facility.

In a separate bag, you can also drop off molded foam that is used to package electronics and other items.

The group will also be collecting pliable plastic bags, the kind you can poke your finger through, and plastic medication bottles with labels off and the tops on.

Bring your rinsed-out recycling to the Parlor, and the Green Team will take it to the recycling facility for you. Thank you for keeping foam #6 and plastics out of the landfills!
