During this Advent season, Pastor Claude will lead this four-week Advent study focused on the experiences of four often overlooked characters in the Nativity story. We will use the book, An Unlikely Advent: Extraordinary People of the Christmas Story by Rachel Billups, a senior pastor at New Albany United Methodist Church.
The book guides readers through the themes of hope, love, joy, and peace by sharing the stories of Elizabeth and Zechariah, Herod, the Magi, and the shepherds. Each set of unexpected characters has something to teach about living faithfully on the journey to Christmas.
Email Pastor Claude at claude@dgfumc.org to sign up or find out more! To prepare for this Advent Study, feel free to order the book from your favorite booksellers.
