Opioids and You

In the late 1990’s pharmaceutical companies reassured the medical community that patients would not become addicted to opioid pain relievers and health care providers began to prescribe them at greater rates. In 2016, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services found that opioid overdoses caused more than 42,000 deaths, 116 each day, and in 2017 they declared a public health emergency to combat the opioid crisis.

Dr. Robert Roose, son of Tom and Rosie Roose will be joining us on September 23rd at 9:30 am to talk about the opioid crisis.
