Special Church Conference Notice for Sunday, May 22

Dear Congregation,

As your senior pastor, I am announcing that a Special Charge Conference is required to be held to vote on the sale of the vacant lot on Grove Street.

This meeting is scheduled for Sunday, May 22 at 11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.

I have been directed, by the Lake South District Superintendent, Jacques Conway, to be the Presiding Elder assigned to convene the Special Charge Conference.

“Dear Rev. Claude King, Grace and peace in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been informed that the Downers Grove First UMC will sell the vacant property located on Grove Street, Downers Grove, IL, in accordance with the United Methodist Book of Discipline, ‘Incorporated Local Church Property – Sale. I have given your senior pastor, Rev. Claude King, the authority to act as Presiding Elder for the Special Charge Conference.’”
