Tom OstranderSenior Pastor

Rev. Tom Ostrander

Tom and Gayle Ostrander have served churches in Libertyville, Elgin, Arlington Heights and Morris before coming to Downers Grove. Tom serves on the Aurora District Committee on the Ordained Ministry, The Board of Outdoor and Retreat Ministries and teaches 2 summer camps at Wesley Woods in the summer. Tom has been active in PADS programs over the years, Habitat for Humanity, volunteer chaplaincy work. Gayle and Tom have led mission trips to various places in the states over their 33 years of ministry. They have 2 children, a son in law and are blessed by their first grandchild, Charlie. They also enjoy gardening, sailing, traveling and serving.

Jonathan DeanAssociate Pastor

Rev. Jonathan Dean

Jonathan joined the staff in September 2006.  Before that, he served churches in Milton Keynes, UK.  He also teaches Christian History at Aurora University, and in his spare time finds fulfilment in walking, reading, concert- and play-going, the unparalleled cultural and culinary delights of Chicago, and the incessant throwing of tennis balls for his Weimaraner, Mollie.

Nick NicholasYouth Pastor

Rev. Nick Nicholas

Paul "Nick" Nicholas is a Deacon in Full Connection and has been on staff since 2000. Nick and his wife, the Rev. Jane Cheema, live in Evanston where Jane is on staff at the First UMC. They have three children, a teenager at home, one in college and one who lives and works in Minneapolis. When not at the church, Nick loves to walk by the Lake and dreams of trips to far off places.
